You Are A Girl Like Me!
Welcome to the no-judgment zone!
Here, we are a group of girls helping out girls in need with everything we got. We do not see your race, color, gender identity, nationality, or disability. So, don’t think twice; come in! A Girl Like Me Inc. is a non-profit organization that assists girls from ages 11 to 25 – teens, teen moms, moms, and anyone who could use a friend. We listen to their struggles, get them the resources they need, and watch them build the life of their dreams.
Essentially, we empower girls to dare. Dare to dream. Dare to be brave. Dare to be themselves.
What We Offer
We coach you on life skills, character development, goal-setting, and much more, to help you find a footing and create your independent identity. Like I did. I got you.
We deliver personal hygiene kits to protect you from diseases. Only a healthy woman can be a happy woman, and we want you to rejoice in your womanhood, not resent it!
As a mom, you can use all the help you can get. We provide everyday items like free diapers, wipes, baby milk, and food. You can also get gently-used baby items, clothing, and shoes.
Many girls we helped are now paying forward by joining us for volunteer work. They identify with the cause and are more empathetic and effective in helping women in need.
Help Us Make An Impact This Holiday Season!
A Girl Like Me Inc. is seeking to give toys to 200 kids during its 2022 Christmas Toy Drive and Party For Children on December 3rd! The toy drive aims to serve children belonging to families with low income. During the event, kids will participate in our Christmas party arranged to distribute toys, take pictures with Santa, and receive refreshments and goodie bags.
Our goal is to raise funds through sponsorships and donations to impact 200 kids. Funds will be used to arrange event space and purchase toys, decorations, food, and games. Make a donation or become a Sponsor for our 2022 Christmas Today Drive!
our Girls Need Us!
A Girl Like Me Inc. was born out of the challenges I faced as a young girl. I created this space to ensure that girls stay ahead of the societal, biological, and family pressures they face. As more girl-friends joined in, we thrived as a community of volunteers and donors who have kept us going.
If you can’t volunteer, consider donating to the cause. You don’t have to have a lot to contribute. If you are willing to share a little of what you have, that’s enough. We are forever grateful to our donors. Know that you made a girl smile.
